About Lucy
Hobbies
Outside of work, I love being a mum to my son, spending time with my two gorgeous cats, Winnie and Frankie, and my dog, George. I’m also a makeup artist, and I love catching up with friends, getting out in nature and, of course, binge watching reality TV.
About me
After many years working in customer service and management, I felt like something was missing and knew I wanted to pursue a career that felt more meaningful to me. I decided to volunteer at the Shenton Park Dog Refuge, and it was through this experience that I discovered how drawn I was to working with animals.
After becoming a qualified veterinary nurse I realised I had found my true calling. I love the variety that veterinary nursing brings and most importantly, being able to make a genuine difference to the lives of animals and their owners every day.
I spent many years working in a busy GP practice in the Perth Hills, where I developed a strong passion for all aspects of veterinary nursing and gained a wide range of hands on clinical experience. After becoming a mum, I was ready for a new chapter in my career and joined Foothills Vet Hospital in 2026. I instantly felt at home with such a welcoming and passionate team.
Special interests
I love all aspects of veterinary nursing, particularly the hands on clinical side of the role. I particularly enjoy surgery and anaesthesia, as well as placing IV catheters, blood collection and pathology, and dental radiography.
